Weathering the Storm!
A crazy weather event happened today right as carpool was starting. A very strong localized rainstorm produced lots of heavy rain and some marble-sized hail! Students waited under the eaves for as long as possible before going to the carpool curbs at the tail end of the storm. Considering the weather delay and it still being only day #3, we completed the entire afternoon pick-up 5 minutes faster than yesterday!
Celestial Happenings
What a great and interesting start to our school year. The solar eclipse celestial event was celebrated throughout the school today. We had many parents, students and staff enjoying the event many different ways. Some had special glasses, some had an extra pie plate to keep their glasses on and other parents brought in special telescopes to reflect the event onto a board to view safely. Thank you to all the parents that came in with the special viewing boxes!
Movie Night
As the summer comes to an end, we got to enjoy a movie night in our courtyard. Sponsored by our Family School Organization and the American Prep Education Foundation, or Friends of APA, many of our new and experienced families got to spend time socializing and getting to know each other. A special thanks to our operations team, especially Philip Miner and Mitch Benson for getting everything set up for this first time event!

Jr. High Orientation
It is a very exciting time of the year and our 7th and 8th grade students coming to the school for their orientation were greeted by our fabulous Ambassador leaders, Camden Stewart and Braelyn Proctor. It was great to see all of our Jr. High students dressed for success and with all their energy. Looking forward to a great year.

Getting Ready for the School Year!
Getting Ready for School Year!
There are a lot of people we don’t always get to see that help make our schools clean and comfortable. A Big Shout Out to AJ Carpet Cleaning & Service, Amador, Anthony and Juan for all their hard work cleaning the carpets in our schools! Taking care of our schools is a big job and with all our help Juan and his crew won’t have to work as hard next summer.
