March Builders Theme
I am a builder when I am willing to try and believe in myself.
During the current health situation in our world, we are being challenged in so many ways. Our willingness to adapt to this new situation and our positive belief that we can still continue our home learning in an APA way will be important. Please continue to be positive and communicate needs as they come up so we can work together to make things work for everyone. Now, more than ever, having positive “Builder” attitudes can make a huge difference at home, in our school and within our communitie! As we distance ourselves physically, we can still connect with each other digitally. We will continue to communicate as the situation’s circumstances change.

Term 4 Missing Work Deadline
Term 4 deadlines are still in place. All missing work is due this Friday, March 27th, and Term 4 will end Friday, April 3rd. Any online assignments from at-home learning will be applied to Term 5. Please check ALMA and work with your student’s homeroom teacher and groups teachers to make up any missed assignments or tests. Completed assignments can be turned in via a scanned PDF or an emailed picture. Thank you for helping your students be successful with this new way of learning and attending school!
Character Development
These two videos from Character Development encourage your students to be builders at home as we embark on our At Home Learning Program, and remind kids the right way to wash our hands as we all try to do our part to stay healthy and keep from spreading germs.
Many teachers have included these videos in their Google Classroom; if so, your student can watch the video there and check off the assignment with the homeroom teacher.
If your child’s teacher did not include them in their Google Classroom, then please click on these two video links below and all of your elementary students at home can watch the videos together… parents, join in if you like! They are great discussion starters as a family. Thank you so much for being such supportive parents!

Re-Enrollment Update
We have canceled all our re-enrollment meetings due to the restrictions from COVID-19. We are creating an online meeting that parents will attend virtually – it is a short video, followed by a survey. Once the video and survey are ready, we will send the link and unique enrollment code for each student. After you complete the form for each student, they will be registered for next year.
Campus Transfers
If you want to transfer your student to a different American Prep campus, please complete this form: https://www.americanprep.org/enrollment/utah-application/ Use the code: Transfer2020
Enrolling Siblings
If you have a child that does not yet attend APA, but you want to enroll them for this coming school year, they will receive priority enrollment. This includes incoming kindergarten students. However, they get priority based on available seats, and we are filling up fast! Be sure to complete this form ASAP. Use the code Sibling2020

Service Opportunity – Blood Drive
During this current health pandemic, more than 150 Red Cross blood drives have canceled. APA is determined to do what we can in this time of need. We have been assured that they are taking every precaution to keep donors safe during the quarantine.
Blood Drive Details:
- March 25th from 12pm-4pm
- WV2 campus 3636 W. 3100 S. West Valley, UT 84120
We encourage all who are able to donate, ages 16 and up, to do so. Go to www.redcrossblood.org and search either by zip code 84119 or sponsor code of APA. Or you can text 801-808-0830 for an appointment time. If unable to make this date and time, please donate within your local community. Please help us fill this desperate need!
