Our amazing character development team hosted the 5th grade students in an Ambassador event. This friendSHIP event gave the students an opportunity to learn many different social skills as they rotated through different stations. These Ambassador events are always a big hit with our students and one of the unique programs at American Prep.
In order to provide transportation for our elementary field trips, we are asking parents to help by donating to Friends of APA. The cost for transportation is $22, per student, for the two field trips during the school year.

It was great walking into our multi-purpose room at the end of the day and seeing an almost empty instrument rack. This means our students are taking their instruments home to hopefully practice, practice and practice.

Throughout all of our schools, we want students, staff and parents to take N.O.T.E, which stands for Not One Thing Ever! Keeping our school clean and picked up is everyone’s responsibility. Our 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms have done an exceptional job. Look at their hallways after a full day of teaching and learning! This is very impressive.
We had our first Spirit Day of the year today. This is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their APA Spirit by wearing their American Prep logo items.
Calvin Anderson loves to read! After injuring his collarbone and using a sling for his arm, he found it also works great as a book holder. Keep on reading Calvin!
One of the strengths of our schools are the incredible parent volunteers that contribute in so many ways. Filling all the many different needs in our school with parent volunteers allows our teachers and staff the time and energy to focus on the instructional aspects of our school. Thank you to all the parent volunteers that stepped up to help us get the communication envelopes put together this week!
Some of the men staff members have started a tradition of wearing bow-ties on Tuesday. It makes Tuesday a special day at the school. Mr. McVicar, along with Mr. Franco, Speech and Mr. Henderson-6th grade were sporting some fancy bow-ties today.
American Prep is a family oriented school. Our founders wanted to create the best school experience for all families, so it is very touching to see moments like these happen during the PM Kindergarten drop off.
