I am a builder when I respect my body and mind.

What is self-respect?  Self-respect is defined as “having proper respect for oneself as a human being; awareness or confidence in one’s own worth or value; pride; self-esteem; dignity; self-regard.”   A healthy level of self-respect enables you to have the confidence to set firm boundaries. It means knowing what you stand for and what your values are, and being accepting of your strengths & your weaknesses.

Buddy Poppy Donation

Today, each one of your students will receive a Buddy Poppy donation envelope.  We ask that every student is given the opportunity to earn at least $1.00 and return it to school sealed in the provided envelope.  We do not open the sealed envelopes, we give them directly to the Veterans of Foriegn Wars.  You are welcome to donate more, it is a very worthy cause.

These contributions are “strictly used for and dedicated entirely to Veterans welfare.”  Each of our students will be given a Buddy Poppy to wear at our Memorial Day assembly, Friday, May 28th.  They will be encouraged to wear them again on Memorial Day as they go through the events of the Holiday.
