Our 4th grade students have been working with our musical directors to record the “Armed Forces Salute” track for our Annual Veterans Day events. American Prep has assemblies each year that give our students the opportunity to understand and recognize the incredible sacrifice of our veterans and what they have done to secure the freedoms that all of us enjoy in our country. This year’s events will be on November 9th. These are very special assemblies and we would welcome any veterans interested in attending to contact our front office at 801.810.3590. We will have two assemblies with a reception for veterans starting at both 8:30 A.M. and 11:30 A.M.
Here is our American Prep United Nations Club getting ready for their first event.
Draper City has been working to widen Lone Peak Parkway both north and south of the light at 11950 South. Over the next few weeks, the new merge lane to the driveway of American Preparatory Academy will be completed. During this time, there will be a temporary driveway installed to access school property north of the current driveway and closer to your neighborhood. We ask you to be courteous and considerate of our neighbors during this time. If you have any questions about the project please contact Kevin McVicar firstname.lastname@example.org or Tim Evancich email@example.com.
Our students had the opportunity to attend an assembly with a world famous author. Brandon Mull, author of the “Fablehaven”, “Candy Shop War”, and “Five Kingdoms” series, visited our school on the afternoon of September 28th, 2016. Our 3rd through 7th grade students were excited to hear about what it takes to become a writer and how one can use their imagination in the writing process. It was an event that will be remembered for years to come!
