Since or Draper 2 campus achieved its goal of raising over $10,000 for the Heroes for Zambia campaign, Mr. McVicar set-up his tent hammock on the playground. He was visited by the Hollinger family and the Cochran families.
Cow Heart Dissection
Dr. Spencer Proctor, one of our amazing parents, came in to work with the 4th grade students for a special culminating event regarding the anatomy and parts of the heart. He brought both a presentation and also a cow heart that was dissected in front of the students after the presentation. Thank you Dr. Proctor.
The Warren Report.
One of our amazing 4th grade students, Warren Fisher has created his own report for the Utah PGA organization. He just recently had The Golf Channel to a special report on him. It is a great story!
Ballroom Dance Concert
On Friday and Saturday nights, many of our students were involved in a culminating Ballroom Dance Concert. Our 5th and 6th grade students learned many moves over the past weeks and had a chance to show off and participate in an AMAZING performance with some of our high school students.
Clarinet Quartet Concert
Dr. Marin and her clarinet quartet did a special concert and learning assembly with our band students. This was a great opportunity to hear and learn from such esteemed and accomplished musicians.
Almost There!
Our students have worked hard raising money for our school in Zambia. We are very close to reaching our goal of $10,000. Here our students are looking for their names on our fundraising board.
Lego Club
One of our more popular after school clubs, the Lego Club always manages to create excitement as well as tap into our students creative side. THANK YOU Mr. Phinney for providing this wonderful opportunity for our students.
Picnic Weather
What a beautiful day for a picnic. Our students have been enjoying some of their lunches outside with the beautiful spring weather.
Super Woman and Wonder Woman
Our students were visited by Super Woman and Wonder Woman at today’s assembly. These two superheroes were able to recognize all of our students registering for the Fun Run and raising money for our school in Zambia. It was great to feel their power and excitement about our project. Who knows they might even show up for the 5K!
Heroes for Zambia
Our students are excited about our “Heroes for Zambia” fundraising week. Sumaiya and Drake are showing the incentives that they will be raising money for during the campaign.
