Our staff spend many hours and effort during the summer meeting and planning for the upcoming year. Our administrative, academic communication and facility staff are working on carpool and the placement of classrooms.
School Improvement Planning
Every year our administrators and executive teams meet to review, analyze and summarize data and information collected through the year to drive our school improvement planning. It is quite the process and super important for our schools. Some of the uniform changes regarding student footwear have come from reviewing the information received through our parent surveys. Summer Audio Book
It is that time of the year when many of us go on road trips and travel long distances in our cars. This is one of the books we are listening to in our car this summer. It is a great book that explores the amazing transformation of of our food and our human species relationship with cooking and food. It is worthy of a five-star review!
Opening Night
The Lion King Jr. performances opened tonight! What a wonderful opportunity for families to experience the talents of our students. Thanks for all their hard work, directed by one of our amazing Draper staff, Dana Sanders.
Lion King Jr.
We have been fortunate this summer to have some of our students learning and rehearsing for a production of “The Lion King Jr.” in our multi-purpose room. They have worked hard over the pst couple of weeks and welcome everyone to a FREE performance of this wonderful musical. Please come and support these students Monday and Tuesday nights, July 2-3 at 7 pm in the Draper 2 Multi-Purpose room.
Summer Reading Tradition
It has become a summer reading tradition for Mr. McVicar to read Tommy’s Honour, a book about Old and Young Tom Morris and the start of modern golf history. It is a beautifully written and engaging story about the origins of the modern game set within an interesting family and time. It is a must read for any golfer.
Summer Cleaning
Rob Andersen one of our fabulous P.E. teachers is excited to use the new equipment to clean our gym floors. Thanks Rob!
Field Day Fun!
Field Day is always a very fun and energetic day. Our parents provide amazing amounts of support and help with the various activities. Many thanks to all our parents that helped make this day super special!
Olympic Winners
Congratulations to Mr. Henderson’s 6th grade class that was the overall upper grade champion of our Spring Olympic Competition. Classes competed in many different categories including transitions, uniforms, assembly behavior and being prepared.
We Love our Volunteers!
Our students had the opportunity to thank all of our amazing parent volunteers at an assembly today. At American Prep, we believe that one of the strengths of a school is the parental involvement in the school. Thank you parents for all the extra work and hours given to our school. You are AMAZING!
