ON CAMPUS – New Attendance Feature
Be a Builder
Builders
I saw them tearing a building down,
A gang of men in a busy town.
With a ‘yo heave ho’ and a lusty yell,
They swung a beam and the sidewall fell.
I asked the foreman if these men were as skilled
As those he would hire if he were to build.
He laughed and said, “Oh, no indeed,
Common labor is all I need,
For they can wreck in a day or two,
What builders have taken years to do.”
So I asked myself, as I went my way,
Which of these roles am I to play?
Am I the builder, who works with care,
Measuring life by the rule and square;
Or am I the wrecker who walks the town,
Content in the role of tearing down?
I’ve made my decision; I’ll start today,
I’ll be a builder in every way!
ON CAMPUS – Day 2 Update
Parents,
Tomorrow Pick Up is at 3:15/3:30/3:45
Drop-Off
The construction on Lone Peak Parkway is creating some confusion for cars that do not have students at our school. This morning there were many cars that got caught up in our traffic and ended up in our drop off system. These extra cars added volume to our exit line. Thank you for your patience during this construction time and know that it will not always be so slow exiting our property. When exiting our property, please form two lines and take turns when merging before getting to Lone Peak Parkway.
Pick-Up
Thank you to everyone displaying your pick-up tags in the afternoon. Please DO NOT come even one minute early for your pick-up. Good places to wait if you make it early is the Wal-Mart parking lot or the church on River Chapel Road. Please be considerate and do not use the neighborhood for any reason.
Despite our best efforts, the first batch of backpack tags did not include some the changes requested. We apologize for the distress and unnecessary wait times that resulted. We have been working furiously to get all the updates made (again), and we hope things are now correct. Please check Skyward and your student’s backpack tags, and email carpool@apamail.org with any corrections. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we get everything updated.
We love your students, and we appreciate you! We are so happy that you have chosen to attend American Prep at the Draper 2 campus.

OFF CAMPUS – Off Campus Program
Dear Off Campus Program Parents,
We are receiving many questions about the Off Campus program. We know you are so anxious and excited to begin! We understand that your students will not be able to login to their Google classrooms until you have completed the application (available online through Skyward) AND picked up your curriculum.
We are busy working on the enormous task of gathering books, workbooks, packets, homeroom hand outs and supplies for over 500 students! We appreciate your patience.
The soonest these materials might be ready is Friday, but it will likely be Monday or Tuesday before. As soon as we know we can be ready, we will post a sign up genius for materials pick up.
For additional information regarding the Off Campus program, please email elementaryocp@apamail.org. They are likely receiving a lot of emails, so thank you in advance for your patience.
The Off Campus program is managed separately from our On Campus program, so our secretaries are limited in their ability to assist you. We prefer you use the email above instead of calling the school.
Thanks again for being amazing parents, and for being so flexible as we develop this new program. We are happy to have a way to keep your students at APA, even if they are learning from home.
